Lucinda Queenfish - April 2015
Another beautiful forecast, and so a group of us, including Brad, Ward and Richard, and Dave and Tedla, headed north once more to see what could be made of the channel. It didn't start very promising with rain squalls a common occurrence on the drive north, and then cutting short the session out the end of the jetty.
However, We did persist long enough for both Brad and Dave to connect to and boat a metre long queenfish each, and for Brad to make a few donations to the pylons when momentarily connected to some un-stoppables.
Again it was a tough day fishing, however for one of us... Tedla... it was a particularly frustrating day. He connected to possibly dozens of fish, but due to some unknown curse placed on him the night before, he didn't manage a single fish to the boat. his misses included barra, queenies, mangrove jack and more.
Great day out with great company despite the tough fishing again.
A rumour was later substantiated that Brad and Ward re-visited the jetty the next day, and were successful in landing 6, metre long queenies between them. Stunning fish, and a great effort!
