The 2012 TOP 10
This competition was developed as an aspirational activity for the club a few years ago. At the beginning of every year we nominate 10 species that 'hope' to catch over the coming 12 months. This is a great way to learn how to target new species, or to experiment with different styles and techniques of salt and freshwater fly fishing. While the competition is becoming increasingly well fought, it still provides a fantastic opportunity for us to aspire to increasing our count of fly-caught species .
Catch and Release is encouraged through the use of a length-based point system.
Surprise, surprise! Andy, Rod and Dan took out the honours once more, with 10, 9 and 9 species respectively, with a number of guys on 7 and 8.... Oh well, there is always next year.
